Work with Me One-on-One
Become a professional screenwriter.
Break into Hollywood with a script that sells.
How it works...
Book a one-hour video meeting with me.
Select which option fits your project needs. This will take you to a link where you can book a time slot. Once you select a time, the form will allow you to upload information about yourself, a PDF of your script, and any additional materials (optional).
Once I receive the booking, I will send you a calendar invite with a Zoom link.
I will read your material in advance. On our Zoom, I will give you feedback on your script based on what Showrunners, producers, and studio executives have told me they look for in script samples and projects they develop. We'll focus on structure, execution, and how to make choices that will help you achieve your goals as a writer--both on the page and in your career.
Afterward, you'll receive a recording of the meeting so you can access these notes any time in the future.
I am a literary manager with clients that have sold projects to Lionsgate, ABC, Disney, Tubi, Max, Hallmark, Sony, and Lifetime.
Every month, I read dozens of scripts--from professional writers in Film & TV that I represent, as well as from potential clients asking me to represent them. I have given thousands of hours of notes calls, resulting in writers winning competitions, finding representation, being accepted into competitive fellowships, getting staffed on TV shows, and being hired to write feature films for major studios. It all starts with a sample that can open these doors for you.
I have 14 years of industry experience learning what qualities a script needs to sell.
With my help, we can examine your script through that lens to diagnose and solve any story problem.
Many sites offer script coverage services.
But do you know who your reader is?
What if you receive feedback from a writer or producer that doesn't understand where story problems come from?
This town is full of writers whose projects have been languishing in the development process for years because their agents, managers, and producers can tell something is wrong, but they can't put their finger on what it is.
I have a degree in Screenwriting from Chapman University. I have studied under Jen Grisanti and Corey Mandell. And I have spent years helping clients level up their drafts in tangible ways that lead to professional quality material. This has led to my writers getting hired on shows including P-Valley, Ginny & Georgia, grown-ish, The Upshaws, and more.
A writing background gives me an understanding of where you're coming from creatively. It also allows me to speak your language to ensure that we talk about the elements of your script that can actually affect the way it makes your audience feel.
Which means your script will start making people buy in.
Are you tired of hearing:
- "It just isn't for us."
- "This isn't what I'm looking for right now."
- "What else do you have?"
- "It didn't quite resonate with me."
- "I don't have the bandwidth right now."
- "It's just not there yet."
Many writers waste years of their lives and miss countless career opportunities because they can't figure out how to make their script strong enough to make people say...
"Yes!"
One yes is all you need, but if you're not getting the right feedback, you'll waste years of your life spinning your wheels.
This could look like:
- Endlessly polishing a draft that never meaningfully changes.
- Rewrites that are worse than your original version.
- Constantly hearing different notes and being unsure why your readers disagree.
- Consistently hearing the same note but not knowing how to fix it.
- Giving up on your script altogether because the story is too hard to crack.
With the right guidance, you will avoid years of frustration.
Who is this for?
Are you:
- A Hollywood outsider looking for honest, constructive feedback on your screenplay?
- A writer struggling to find agents and managers who are excited about your material?
- A repped writer having trouble getting work but not getting helpful notes from your agent?
- Someone who has placed in multiple competitions but hasn't been getting any professional traction?
- Working on a script that you're passionate about but can't solve a glaring story problem?
I will diagnose what isn't working in your script and give you actionable options for fixing it.
I hear the following complaints from writers trying to break into Hollywood:
- I don't have access to industry professionals.
- No one will respond to my queries.
- I don't know if my writing is "good enough" to start searching for reps.
- I've been getting so many notes that I don't know who to listen to.
- The feedback I'm getting isn't making my script better.
- I don't know who my script reader was, so I don't know if their opinion can be trusted.
- I'm winning or placing in screenplay competitions, but I don't know how to take the next step in my career.
These are the results of 3 main industry problems:
Problem #1: Most script readers (even seasoned industry professionals) give bad notes.
I have seen it time and time again at all levels. Everyone knows when a script isn't working, and most people can identify the parts of the story that bump them. But understanding why a story is broken and being able to identify the most upstream problem that will fix it is a different skillset altogether.
If your feedback discourages you and leaves you feeling more confused than ever, it's likely that you have gotten notes from someone who doesn't truly understand story.
Problem #2: Writers seek advice from too many different sources.
Writers usually seek feedback from multiple peers, writing groups, and coverage competitions. The results can be a collection of notes and suggestions that seem to disagree with one another. This is because many readers are too busy focusing on the symptoms of a script's story problem. They don't realize that the root of the problem goes much deeper. This also comes from a reader's tendency to offer suggestions based on what they want to write or what they would do in your situation.
I will offer potential solutions to your problems, but my notes are always guided first and foremost by what you as a writer want to accomplish in service of your vision for this story.
Problem #3: Feedback doesn't usually come with advice on how to take the next step.
Most script coverage leaves writers feeling overwhelmed at the rewrite ahead of them. I, on the other hand, summarize my notes into the top 3 most important action items. This includes suggesting tangible exercises that will help you find those solutions and (if you're interested) specific classes or resources that will give you the skills you need to level up. As a manager, I am used to providing personalized step-by-step guidance to my clients.
I will give you that guidance as well, so you no longer feel lost in a sea of available advice.
